On February 28, 2012 “Gracie” said she was dancing with Mickey, her beloved late husband as she closed her eyes and began her glorious journey to heaven in the arms of the man she loved for over 40 years. She belonged to and created an enormous family that I am proud to say is still very close. She is the final sister and member of her original family to join the ranks of angelic beings.
My 8-year old niece says we should be happy because Gracie is lucky because she get’s to play with God everyday and she gets Angel’s wings now. According to Sydney that is even cooler that being a fairy and fairies are pretty cool.
We say good night (Kish-eer Par-ee) , Good Light Gracie until we can say hello and join the party.
We love you!

Share Your Thoughts and Memories of our Beloved Gracie
Please feel free to share your thoughts, condolences and memories of Gracie with us. Her body may be gone but she will live forever in our hearts and memories.

Hi Cousin Linda, Family and Friends,
I just got notified of your posts. I guess it was a glitch in the system. Thank you so much for taking the time to share memories of our beloved Gracie.
Linda what you shared is exactly the purpose of this blog page. Not only for Gracie but in memory of your mom and all the sisters and uncles. They were such an integral part of our lives, it overwhelms me with sadness that the youngest of our children, cousins, nieces and nephews will not be able to know them in the way we did.
One of the best memories I have of all of them is how they shared their stories of Great Grandpa and “Little Grama” Shamanath. They spoke of them with such love and appreciation I felt as if I had a personal connection to them as well even though they died many years before my birth.
There love and energy helped create the person I am today and are so much a part of my success. It is difficult to experience their physical absence but in memory they will always be a part of us. I just hope I do as good a job as they did passing on their connection to our kids and generations to come.
Please feel free to share this page with family and friends to share memories of Gracie and ALL the sisters and uncles. It is a simple way of keeping their stories alive for the rest of the family.
Hugs and Thanks to All of you. I feel so blessed to have you as my family and circle of friends.
Love you,
Kim

To Connie and Kim, and family. How blessed you are to have had Gracie and eachother for such a wonderfully long time. I know your beliefs support you at this time. I had the pleasure of meeting Gracie, and experiencing Kim’s joy in having her visit. In that way, and in her passing so soon after our last Unlock the Genie weekend, when my thoughts were on my own experiences with death, Gracie touched my life too. Now she’s on to the next adventure. I am wearing red lipstick this week! Be well.
Kim,
So sorry to hear the news about Gracie. I loved talking to her and learning about her family, our heritage, during our visits. Please send my condolences to everyone and know you are in my thoughts and prayers. May you be comforted at this difficult time.
Love you all!
Audra
Kim, I have a remembrance. I might have been all of 10 years old when I was outside with your grandmother, my Aunt Gracie. She was painting the screens that would soon be mounted on the windows for the summer. I was just standing there watching her carefully paint the wood around the screen when, for some reason she was called inside the house. She put the brush in the paint can and left. Wanting to “help” I picked up the brush and proceeded to paint where Aunt Gracie left off. When she returned not only was the wood around the screen painted, but the screen as well. She just shook her head and I remember her saying, “I can’t believe the kid painted the screen”. She must have been okay about it as I am still alive to this day and my head is still attached to my shoulders.
I am so glad we had that time together when Aunt Gracie stayed with you during her visit to CT. We got to picnic together and have breakfast in that great diner. I am going to miss her, as I do all of my Aunts. An end to a great era. Good night Gracie.
