Where Do You Get Your Creativity From?

Happy Monday!

Today’s musing is about creativity, energy and passion.

The question is…Where does your creativity come from?  You might be thinking why is that important to know?   Here is why this is important for you to know about yourself…

To create success you need lots of energy.  You need energy to open the doors to your creativity.  When you are creating you are stoking the fires of your passion and essence for being here playing the game of life.  Your power comes from your ability to tap into your creative side.

I had an incredible week connecting to my creativity and passion.  I was up to my eyeballs in coaching clients and Discovery Sessions.  I had so much fun working with my clients both existing and new, helping them see things in a new way.  The joy they experienced when they truly saw themselves as they really are was awesome!

Knowing I can that ability and can share that with others opened the door to such excitement and creativity I plowed through tasks that have been sitting in my To Do box for months.

How great would it feel if you were totally connected to your possibilities? Dare to jump into the pool of your creative river and share your gifts with the world!

Where does your creativity come from?

Let me know where your creative powers take you this week.

Happy Musing,

Kim

    Hi Michelle,

I am so glad you are enjoying the challenge!

You really hit a personal cord with me with your comment.

I felt the exact same way about creativity. I grew up in a family of creative people but didn’t feel that way myself until I started my own business too.

Thanks for sharing that wonderful insight with all of us.

  3. Hey Kim,
I’ve been loving the Daily Challenges, and finally thought I’d drop a note. Creativity is one of my favorite new words.

“Creative” was never a word I would use to describe myself. That was for artists, musicians, crafts folks. I was a business person. Marketing was “kind of creative” in dealing with brand image and logo/ad design, but that was as close as it came.

It wasn’t until I started my own business that I really felt like I could be creative every day, in every project.

Creative solutions to problems (like having to bootstrap a start-up, to handling client challenges, to self-publishing a book) became my skill, and so today I feel I am very creative in all ways.

I am on my 3rd start-up in 8 years. Creating businesses is a passion for me!

    Thanks for sharing Phyllis,

Isn’t it great to get paid to do something you love?

I love your story about how being creative connected you and your Dad. You do a great job with Send Out Cards.

I always enjoy getting them from you.

    Keep creating,
    Kim

    Hi Kim,
I’ve always enjoyed arts & crafts and being creative. When I am creating things whether they are gel candles, making baskets for a fair or any kind of craft, I am happiest and can get lost in the tasks easily.

My Dad used to spend time teaching me to draw when I was young, not that we were that great, but it was a shared hobby we enjoyed.

I too, as you both know, love SendOutCards. I’ve found it is a great tool for me to express my creativity by sending creative cards while working a business. It is cool when you can make money doing something you enjoy.

    Thanks for the musings.
    Phyllis

  7. Hello Kim, it is Monday until midnight, and it is great to hear that you were so busy helping others, that you could not get to your news letter.
I believe my creative side and my passion came from my dad who was a veterinarian who also started both boy scout and cub scout troops in Farmington CT, was instrumental in starting our local volunteer Fire Dept, Kawanis Club, Ct Veterinarian Medical Society and a slew of other organizations. He was very passionate about the animals he cared for as I worked with him often when I was younger. His father composed several musical scores, although none became famous. He performed surgery like a pianist would stroke the ivory keys of the piano. When he spoke to the animals, it was like they really understood what he was saying to them.
I didn’t realize my writing and creativeness until a few years ago when I got out of the corporate world, and worked for a print distributor.
I really started to flower when I joined Send Out Cards and as you know, it is a really cool way to keep in touch with people and send out the love I have in my heart.
Hope you have a great evening…All the best.
    Ralph
